Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recording Systems

AD/REC/4 Fairchild Model F800 Digital Flight Data Recorders Central Processor Unit 13/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 18 December 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1994 against Loran Data Systems, Fairchild Aviation Recorders Bulletin DFR 027 (F800-321-027 Rev 2 required a modification mandated by the then Bureau of Air Safety Investigation (BASI), Department of Transport and Communications, following reports of possible failure and erroneous tracking changes identified to a component on the Loran Data System Central Processor Unit printed wiring assembly.

Compliance was prior to 31 August 1995, or at the next shop visit for maintenance, whichever occurs earlier.

As all affected aircraft would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
