Compliance:

Before issue of a certificate of airworthiness to an aircraft in which one of the applicable engines is installed.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 8 June 2012.

Background:

The ADs listed in Table 1 of this Directive require once-only actions for which the compliance date has passed.  RB211 engines to which these ADs apply can be installed in aircraft that may be registered in Australia in the future.  This Directive is issued to ensure such aircraft comply with all state-of-design ADs.
