AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/RAD/8.
Radio Communication and Navigation Equipment
| AD/RAD/8 | Channel Tuning Mechanism AWA VHF Nav/Com Receiver AD704 - Modification | 4/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD was raised in 1963 against AWA Modification Procedure No. 10, Drawings 80071 D234-5 a modification to AWA VHF NAV/COM Receiver type AD704 (manufactures reference C80071) to prevent over-run of the channel selector motor at the end of the tuning cycle which would result in subsequent failure to select the next channel. Compliance was before installation in an aircraft following next overhaul completed after 19 August 1963. This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected equipment to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
