AD/RAD/46 Bendix/King VN 411B VHF Nav Receiver Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/RAD/46.

AD/RAD/46 Bendix/King VN 411B VHF Nav Receiver 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised prior to 1991 against Bendix/King Service Bulletin (SB) VN 411B-12 requiring extensive modifications to Bendix/King
VN 411B VHF navigation receiver KPN 066-1101-00 or 066-1101-01 Marker Receiver Module, which could only be accomplished by the manufacturer.  Continued FAA TSO approval required that the SB be accomplished.

Compliance was prior to 31 July 1991.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected VHF Nav Receivers would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
