AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/RAD/36 Amdt 1.

Radio Communication and Navigation Equipment

AD/RAD/36 Amdt 1 Collins ADF Type ADF-650 - Operation
From 27.5 Volt Supply
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in1982 against Collins RCR-650 receiver Service Information Letter (SIL) 1-77 and Collins RCR-650 receiver Service Bulletin (SB) No. 3 requiring a modification due voltage dropping resistors originally specified by the manufacturer were inadequately rated causing overheating or burn out.

Compliance was within 100 hours after 30 November 1982.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected ADF receivers would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
