AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/RAD/20.

Radio Communication and Navigation Equipment

AD/RAD/20 King VHF - KTR-900 Transceiver - Modification 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in1968 against King Radio Corp. Service Bulletin (SB) No. KTR-900 Export 1 requiring a modification to King VHF KTR-900 Transceivers below S/Nos. 2001 to prevent unwanted squelch operation due to heterodynes from offset carrier "Climax" network stations.

Compliance was before 1 August 1968.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected VHF Transceivers would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
