AD/PW-P/16 Amdt 1 Master Rod Retirement Life Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PW-P/16 Amdt 1.

AD/PW-P/16 Amdt 1 Master Rod - Retirement Life 9/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised requiring Master rod P/No. 11865 installed in Wasp R1340-S3H1-G-CER and R1340 - S3H1-G engines to be retired following completion of one overhaul period of agricultural operations.

Compliance was:  Forthwith.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected engines would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
