AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PMC/39.

Propellers - Variable Pitch - McCauley

AD/PMC/39 Propeller Blade Replacement 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in1987 against McCauley Service Bulletin (SB) No.164 requiring the blades (S/Nos. DA001 to DA040) of propeller model B2A34C205/90DHA-4 to be retired from service due a number of blades manufactured in 1983 where released without shot peening.

Compliance was before 1250 hours TTIS or 31 November 1988 whichever occurs first.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected propeller blades would have been removed from service by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
