AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PMC/33.

Propellers - Variable Pitch - McCauley

AD/PMC/33 Propeller Hubs - Modification
to Oil Filled Standard
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in1978 against McCauley Service Bulletin (SB) No.123, para. (3) of "Corrections" requiring a modification to the propeller hub by filling with oil.

Note that oil filled hubs have a letter suffix "O" in the hub model designation and are fitted with a filler plug.

Compliance was before installation in an aircraft following next reconditioning completed after 31 May 1978.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected propeller hubs would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
