Background: | This unique Australian AD was raised in1975 against McCauley Service Bulletin (SB) No.115 requiring replacement of propeller hub with identical model hubs as a precautionary measure in order to restrict life limit to 1,000 hours TIS, and to facilitate an evaluation by the manufacturer of their condition in service. Compliance was before exceeding 1,000 hours TIS. For hubs that have completed 975 hours or more TTIS as at 11 November 1975 - within 25 hours TIS after Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected propeller hubs would have been replaced by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
