AD/Pitts S-2/8 Streamline Tubing Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PITTS S-2/8.

AD/PITTS S-2/8 Streamline Tubing - Inspection 1/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 15 January 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1976, required inspection and modification of the streamline tubing of the cabane braces and the main landing gear brace tubes in accordance with Pitts Service Bulletin No. 10.  The AD was raised as a result of manufacturing defects occurring on a limited number of aircraft.  The AD compliance was within 25 hours time in service after 20 May 1976.  As all affected aircraft would have been inspected and modified by now, the AD is no longer required.
