AD/Pitts S-2/11 Amdt 1 Aileron Spar Inspection and Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PITTS S-2/11 Amdt 1.

AD/PITTS S-2/11 Amdt 1 Aileron Spar - Inspection and Modification 1/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 15 January 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD, issued in 1977, required modification of the aileron spar with a doubler at the hinge bracket location in accordance with Pitts Service Letter No. 4.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after 28 February 1977.  As all aircraft should have been modified by now, the AD is no longer required.
