AD/PHZL/50 A-4025 Spring Retainer Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PHZL/50.

AD/PHZL/50 A-4025 Spring Retainer - Inspection 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in1984 against Hartzell Service Letter(SL)
No. 149 requiring a one time inspection for cracks on A-4025 feathering cup spring retainer as used in Hartzell five blade turbine propeller model HC-B5MP-3( )/ M10282AB+6, M10876(B,K).

Compliance was at next reconditioning or rectification necessitating disassembly, whichever is the sooner.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected spring retainers would have been inspected by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
