AD/PHZL/23 Amdt 5 Blade Shank Inspection and Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PHZL/23 Amdt 5.

Propellers - Variable Pitch - Hartzell

AD/PHZL/23 Amdt 5 Blade Shank - Inspection and Modification 13/2005

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 22 December 2005.
Background:	This AD was raised requiring certain inspections and work on Hartzell double shoulder blades.  This Directive reflected the requirements of FAA AD 68-13-02 and 68-19-04 which both referenced Hartzell Service Bulletin (SB) 93.  That SB has been superseded by SB 217 which is mandated by FAA AD 97-18-02R1.  Hartzell SB 217 covers a wider range of propellers identified in earlier AD’s.  FAA AD 97-18-02R1 superseded FAA AD’s 68-13-02 and 68-19-04, 77-14-07 and 77-17-34.  As a result AD/PHZL/69 Amdt 2 was issued which expands on the requirements of this AD.
