AD/PHS/3 Model 23260 and 43e-60 Low Pitch Stop Assembly Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PHS/3.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised prior to1954 against Hamilton Standard Service Bulletin (SB) No. 249 requiring an inspection and modification to minimise the accumulation of tolerances in the low pitch stop assembly that could affect the proper seating of the wedge on the stop levers.

Compliance was before installation in an aircraft.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated, and that affected propellers would have been inspected and modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
