AD/PHS/12 Pacific 6533a Propeller Blade Cancelled (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PHS/12.
Propellers - Variable Pitch - Hamilton Standard
| AD/PHS/12 | Pacific 6533A Propeller Blade | 4/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD was raised in1988 against Hamilton Standard Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) No. A663 requiring a one-time dye penetrant inspection of the outboard 15 inches of the propeller blade and repetitive inspections reflective of the manufactures maintenance instructions at Daily and 75-100 hour intervals. Applicability was to all model 22D40/6533A-12 propellers fitted to Airtractor 301 series aircraft. Compliance was in accordance with the Requirement Document. Given that the one-time dye penetrant inspection would have been done by now, and manufacturers maintenance instructions (data) as contained in Civil Aviation Regulations 1988 2A (2) (c)and 42V already cover the requirements of the repetitive inspections, and the extended period this AD has been promulgated, this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
