AD/PA-42/21 Main Landing Gear Upper Strut Housing Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes  Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-42/21.

AD/PA-42/21 Main Landing Gear Upper Strut Housing 4/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD specified dye-penetrant inspection of the MLG upper strut housing in accordance with Piper SB No. 929A at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service until removal of Piper P/N 75215-04 and replacement by Piper P/N 75215-06.  The AD applied to PA-42-1000 only.  Use of an AD to mandate this periodic maintenance is no longer warranted.
