AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-42/19.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD specified once-only rework of the plug in the MLG oleo tube in accordance with Piper SB No. 912; and inspection of the MLG upper strut housing in accordance with Piper SB No. 929 at intervals not exceeding 100 hours.  (Piper SB No. 929A allows the periodic inspections to be discontinued when P/N 75215-04 has been replaced by 75215-06.)  The AD applied to PA-42-1000 only.  Use of an AD to mandate this periodic maintenance is no longer warranted.
