AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-31/61.

Piper PA-31 Series Aeroplanes

AD/PA-31/61 Elevator Bell Crank and
Control Rod - Inspection
8/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 31 July 2008.

Background:

This unique Australian AD required periodic inspection of the elevator bell crank and control rod in accordance with Piper SL No. 789.  The AD required compliance at intervals not exceeding three years.  The defects recorded in CASA’s defect reporting system do not support a need for the on going inspections mandated by this AD.
