AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-28/71.

Piper PA-28 Series Aeroplanes

AD/PA-28/71 Nose Landing Gear Down Lock - Modification or Replacement 7/2008

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 3 July 2008.

Background:

This Directive specified Piper SB No. 578B which called for once-only modification of the nose landing gear down lock.  This Directive was not based on a US Directive.  Compliance was required within 100 hours after December 1978 so all affected aircraft would have been modified long ago.  Hence, this AD is no longer required.
