AD/PA-23/54 Wing Tip Fuel Tanks Extra Drain Provision Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-23/54.

AD/PA-23/54 Wing Tip Fuel Tanks - Extra Drain Provision 2/2009

Requirement:	CANCELLED.
This AD is cancelled on 12 February 2009.
Background:	This unique Australian AD specified installation of an additional water drain valve in each wing-tip fuel tank in aircraft equipped with Met-Co-Aire wing-tip fuel tanks.  Compliance was required within 100 hours time in service after June 1972.  This AD was not based on a Piper service document or USA AD.  The AD is no longer required.
