Oxygen Systems

AD/OXY/1 Mask Rebreather Bag Security - Inspection
and Modification
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1971 against Scott Aviation Modification Instruction No. 1-298 (attachment to Service Letter (SL) No.485) required an inspection and modification to prevent the oxygen Constant Flow Mask Assembly rebreather bag from separating from either the bag tube or face mask during usage.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 30 July 1971.

As all affected mask assemblies would have been inspected and modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
