AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ML-M5/2.

Maule M-5 Series Aeroplanes

AD/ML-M5/2 Control Column Chain and
Engine Controls - Inspection
2/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 12 February 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD, issued in 1978, required inspection of the control column chain and turnbuckle in accordance with Maule Service Letter No. 29 to check interference of the turnbuckle with the throttle control and the chain with the propeller control.  The AD compliance was within 100 hours time in service after
31 October 1978.  As all aircraft would have been inspected by now, the AD is no longer required.
