AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/M20/24 Amdt 2.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This AD was originally raised in 1976 following a local investigation of a fuel leak in an aircraft that revealed a severely corroded main spar web.  Compliance was required before 30 September 1976 and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 3 calendar years.

As there is only one report related to this AD recorded in the mandatory reporting system, and maintenance schedules adequately refer to periodic inspections of wing main spars, this AD is no longer required.
