AD/M20/2 Amdt 1 Nose Gear Legs Crack Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/M20/2 Amdt 1.

AD/M20/2 Amdt 1 Nose Gear Legs - Crack Inspection 5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This AD was originally raised in 1962 against Mooney Service Bulletin (SB) 20-87.  It required an inspection for cracks and possible weld repair to the nose gear legs of M20B and M20C aircraft S/No’s. 1701 to 1884.  Compliance was required at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS.

As the mandatory defect reporting system contains no defects stemming from this AD, the AD is no longer required.
