AD/M20/17 Amdt 1 Elevator Trim Tubes Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/M20/17 Amdt 1.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This AD was raised in 1972 against Aerostar Service Bulletin (SB) No. M20-185.  It required an inspection and modification to increase the service life of elevator trim tubes where bearing blocks had been replaced by nylon grommets.  Compliance was required within 100 hours TIS after 31 October 1972.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
