AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/LTS/3.

AlliedSignal (Lycoming) Turbine Engines - LTS 101 Series

AD/LTS/3 Power Turbine Governor - Functional Check/Replacement 9/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD originally raised in 1985 and again in 1986 against Lycoming Service Bulletin (SB) No. LTS 101C-73-20-0058 Rev. 1 paragraphs 2, 3 and 4, or AD/LYC-T/25, required an evaluation of some power turbine governors to verify performance.

Compliance was:  Within 100 hours TIS after 31 May 1985 or on installation of affected engine/power turbine governor, or prior to issue of Australian certificate of airworthiness.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
