AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/JT15D/5.

Pratt and Whitney Canada Turbine Engines - JT15D Series

AD/JT15D/5 Modified Fuel Manifold Assembly 9/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD originally raised in 1977 and again in 1985 against Pratt & Whitney of Canada Service Bulletin (SB) No. 7087, or AD/UAC-T/29, applicable to the JT15D-4 engines, required a modification to the fuel manifold assembly by replacement of existing looped tube fuel manifold adaptor assembly arrangement with tubes similar to those used on JT15D-1 engines.

Compliance was:  At first hot section inspection, or overhaul completed after
31 July 1978.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
