AD/JT15D/2 Deletion of Oil Filler Drain Tubes Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/JT15D/2.

AD/JT15D/2 Deletion of Oil Filler Drain Tubes 9/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1974 against United Aircraft of Canada, Ltd. (UACL) Service Bulletin (SB) No. 319 Rev 1, or 7035, or AD/UAC-T/17 required a modification by discarding two oil filler drain tubes to prevent loss of oil.

Compliance was:  In accordance with the requirement document; which was:  at earliest opportunity and not later than next hot section inspection.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected engines to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
