AD/J4100/10 Forward Fuselage Stn 4 to Stn 8 Diaphragms (Cth)
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.001(1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
BAe Systems (Operations) Jetstream 4100 Series Aeroplanes

Applicability: | Model Jetstream Series 4100 aircraft, constructor’s numbers 41004 through 41104. |
Requirement: | Inspect in accordance with BAe Systems Alert Service Bulletin J41-A53-023 original issue, or later CAA/EASA approved revision. Note: UK CAA AD 007-12-96 refers. |
Compliance: | Initial inspection: For aircraft with less than 4,200 landings, accomplish before the accumulation of 4,500 landings. For aircraft with 4,200 or more landings, accomplish within 300 landings. Repeat inspection: Within 3,000 landings after the initial inspection, and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 3,000 landings. |

Background: | The manufacturer’s fatigue tests have shown a need to inspect two diaphragms that support the upper structure of the forward equipment compartment. |
