On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/INST/7.

Instruments and Automatic Pilots

AD/INST/7 H14 Automatic Pilot
Servo Housing - Inspection
3/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 12 March 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1971 required an inspection at the linkage end of H14 Automatic Pilot pneumatic servo housing (cylinder), King P/No. 047-2105-00 or Honeywell P/No. 314259, to ensure that no cracks had occurred in the wall of the housing in the areas adjacent to the formed retaining lugs.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 26 February 1971.

As all affected auto pilot servo housings would have been inspected by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
