AD/INST/36 Collins ALI-80( ) Barometric Altimeter Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/INST/36.

AD/INST/36 Collins ALI-80( ) Barometric Altimeter 3/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 12 March 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1988 against Collins ALI 80( ) Service Bulletin (SB) SB 21 required a modification to those Collins ALI-80 Barometric Altimeters not marked SB 21 on the unit modification chart to prevent smoke in the cockpit.

Compliance was prior to 31 August 1989.

As all affected ALI-80 ( ) Barometric Altimeters would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
