AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 369/85 Amdt 1.

McDonnell Douglas (Hughes) and Kawasaki 369 Series Helicopters

AD/HU 369/85 Amdt 1 Main Rotor Blade Root Replacement 11/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 22 October 2009.

Background:

This AD, raised in 1993 against McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company Service Information Notices (SIN) No. DN-183.2, EN-75.2 and FN-62.2 required replacement of main rotor blades following cracking of blade root lugs.  Compliance was required no later than 30 September 1993.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.

Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority
