AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 369/6.

McDonnell Douglas (Hughes) and Kawasaki 369 Series Helicopters

AD/HU 369/6 NAS 1291 - 4 Nuts Used in Specific Applications Inspection 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1970 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. HN-4 required a one-time inspection for NAS1291-4 nuts installed on a number of assemblies that were suspected of being inadequately processed during vendor manufacturing.

Compliance was:  Before 1 September 1971.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.

Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority
