AD/HU 369/40 Tail Rotor Fork Hinge Nut Replacement Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 369/40.

AD/HU 369/40 Tail Rotor Fork Hinge Nut - Replacement 6/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1979 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. HN-131 or DN-33 required a modification by installation of a new corrosion resistant nut for the tail rotor fork hinge bolt to reduce the possibility of stress corrosion cracking.

Compliance was:  Within 100 hours TIS after 31 August 1979.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
