AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 369/4.
McDonnell Douglas (Hughes) and Kawasaki 369 Series Helicopters
| AD/HU 369/4 | Main Rotor Locknut and Retaining Ring - Modification | 6/2009 |
Requirement: | CANCELLED. |
| This AD is cancelled on 4 June 2009. | |
Background: | This unique Australian AD raised in 1970 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. HN-11 required a modification by installation of new main rotor locknut and retaining ring following rework of main rotor mast tube. Compliance was: In accordance with the requirement document; which was: 1. Shall be accomplished within next 100 hours or at next 300 hour inspection, whichever is the sooner, for helicopters which have had a main rotor hub removal since delivery. 2. Shall be accomplished at next 300 hour inspection, for helicopters which have not had a main rotor hub removal since delivery. This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required. |
