AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/94.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1989 against Schweizer Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-227 (out-of-date) requiring a one-time inspection following manufacturers determination of the possibility that the main rotor bearing snap ring lockwasher (SL61W9F) could be missing from the bearing stack up.

Compliance was: Within 50 hours TIS after 8 November 1989 or prior to
31 December 1989, whichever occurs first.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
