AD/HU 269/86 Belt Drive Upper Pulley Assembly Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/86.

AD/HU 269/86 Belt Drive Upper Pulley Assembly 5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1987 against Schweizer Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-209 (out-of-date) required an inspection to ensure that the belt drive forward and aft pulley assembly bearing end caps have not had the oil retainers installed backwards.

Compliance was:  At next 100 hour inspection after 31 July 1987, or within 3 months TIS after 30 June 1987 whichever occurs first.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
