AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/70.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1980 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-174 (now out of date) required a one-time inspection of the main rotor thrust bearing due possible manufacturing defect.

Compliance was: Within 100 hours TIS after 31 May 1981.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
