AD/HU 269/47 Main Rotor Blade Root Fitting Bolts Main Rotor Blade Damper Bolts Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/47.

AD/HU 269/47 Main Rotor Blade Root Fitting Bolts - Main Rotor Blade Damper Bolts - Inspection 5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1974 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-119 requiring an inspection to determine if the correct bolts were installed in the blade root fittings and main rotor blade dampers.

Compliance was: Within 50 hours TIS after 30 August 1974.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
