Schweizer (Hughes) 269 Series Helicopters

AD/HU 269/41 Main Rotor Thrust Bearing
P/N 269A5050-73 - Inspection for Runout
5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1971 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-94 requiring a one-time visual inspection of the 269A5050-73 main rotor thrust bearing to ensure that the bearing was properly seated and aligned in the bearing housing.

Compliance was: Within 200 hours TIS after 29 October 1971 unless previously accomplished during or following installation of Kit No. M10044.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is no longer required.
