AD/HU 269/40 Main Rotor Hub and Shaft Assemblies P/Nos 269a5305 and 269a5305-9 Inspection Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/40.

AD/HU 269/40 Main Rotor Hub and Shaft Assemblies P/Nos 269A5305 and 269A5305-9 - Inspection 5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1971 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-93 requiring a one-time visual inspection of the main rotor hub and shaft assemblies, to ensure that the correct size hub attaching bolts are installed.

Compliance was: Within 50 hours TIS after 14 October 1971.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected by now; therefore this AD is no longer required.
