AD/HU 269/35 Amdt 1 Main Rotor Drive Shaft - Inspection
for Corrosion
5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was originally raised in 1970 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-69 (now cancelled) requiring an inspection to detect corrosion in the main rotor drive shaft.  This requirement is contained in Schweizer 269 Handbook of Maintenance Instructions (HMI) Section 10-8.

Compliance was: Within 150 hours TIS after 30 June 1970 or at the next scheduled inspection or retirement of the main rotor thrust bearing, (AD DCA/HU 269/28 refer; subject of FAA AD 97-05-06), whichever occurs first.

The contents of this AD have been superseded by manufacturer’s actions that must be complied with as required by Civil Aviation Regulation 1988, 42V; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
