AD/HU 269/33 Main Rotor Mast Inspection for Internal Corrosion Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/33.

for Internal Corrosion 5/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1970 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-74 requiring an internal inspection for corrosion of the main rotor mast.  Compliance was required within 300 hours TIS after 29 May 1970.

As all affected aircraft would have been inspected, and, if necessary, modified long ago, this AD is no longer required.
