AD/HU 269/32 Amdt 1 Tail Rotor Gearbox Inspection and/or Replacement Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HU 269/32 Amdt 1.

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 7 May 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1970 at amendment 1 against Hughes Service Information Notice (SIN) No. N-71.1 and Addendum XI requiring inspection and/or replacement of tail rotor gearbox following two failures of input shaft on military aircraft.

Compliance was: Before achieving 90 hours total component time in service.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been inspected and/or modified by now; therefore this AD is no longer required.
