AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/HILLER 12/38.

Hiller UH-12 Series Helicopters

AD/HILLER 12/38 Engine Mount Clevises 9/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 27 August 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in 1985 against Soloy Conversions, Ltd. Service Bulletin (SB) 19-560 required an inspection for bending or cracking of engine mount clevises of Soloy/Hiller UH-12D, E and E (4 place) turbine converted helicopters.

Compliance was within 10 hours TIS after 26 September 1985 and thereafter as per requirement document; which was:  At each pre-flight inspection and at each 100 hour or annual inspection.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated and that there are no records of this defect in compliance with the mandatory reporting system, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
