Propeller Governors

AD/GOV/5 Governor Pump Idler
Gear Stud - Replacement
4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1978 against Woodward Service Bulletin (SB) No. 33565 requiring replacement of the propeller governor pump idler gear stud with one of increased hardness to improve wear resistance of the idler gear stud in the presence of oil born particles and prevent loss of governor capacity.

Compliance was within 300 hours TIS after 31 January 1978.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated and that all affected propeller governors would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
