AD/GOV/4 Flyweight Pin Retainer Modification Cancelled (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/GOV/4.

AD/GOV/4 Flyweight Pin Retainer - Modification 4/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 9 April 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD was raised in 1976 against Allison Commercial Engine Bulletin (CEB) 250-B17/B17B TP CEB-1051 requiring a modification to incorporate a new propeller governor flyweight carrier configuration to prevent displacement of the flyweight pivot pins.

Compliance was before installation in an aircraft after 30 June 1976.

Given the extended period this AD has been promulgated and that all affected propeller governors would have been modified by now, this AD is considered to be no longer required.
