AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/GENERAL/83.

Aircraft - General

AD/GENERAL/83 Rockwell Collins 621A-3 Transponders 9/2007

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 August 2007.

Background:

The original issue of this Directive required a one time test of Rockwell-Collins 621A-3 Mode A/C transponders fitted to transport category aircraft.  The Directive also required corrective action if the transponder failed the one time test.

Compliance was required by 16 November 2002.  CASA believes that all affected transponders would now be in compliance and this Directive is cancelled.
