AD/G164/11 Spray Fan Brake Control - Modification 8/2009

Requirement:

CANCELLED.

This AD is cancelled on 30 July 2009.

Background:

This unique Australian AD raised in1969 against Grumman G164 Service Bulletin (SB) No. 44 required a modification to permit greater lock-up travel of the spray pump brake cable and greater compression of the fan brake control spring to prevent a possible runaway condition causing uncontained failure of the fan.

Compliance was within 100 hours TIS after 29 August 1969.

This AD has been sufficiently promulgated for the affected aircraft to have been modified by now; therefore this AD is considered to be no longer required.
